When it comes to financial status, there are people who really go way above the rest of the world. These billionaires own several multimillion-dollar businesses.
Last September, Forbes issued the most recent list of the wealthiest people in the world. The controversial CEO of Tesla and Space X Elon Musk topped the list with a net worth of $258.2 billion dollars. He also owns Twitter which he renamed as “X”.
He was the richest for the most part of 2022. This year, he became number one on the list of richest billionaires starting in June. His wealth mostly came from his Tesla stock which rose about 140 percent since early this year.
Musk was followed by Bernard Arnault from the luxury goods company LVMH which handles luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Tiffany and Co. He has $209.2 billion under his name. In the early part of 2023, Arnold topped the list.
At number three is American businessman Jeff Bezos, who is the founder, executive chairman, and former president and CEO of Amazon. He has a net worth of $160.7 billion.
Next is Larry Ellison who is a co-founder of the software company Oracle Corporation. The American businessman has a $152.3 billion net worth. His company’s wealth came from the booming AI (artificial intelligence) industry and cloud services.
The number five spot is taken by Warren Buffet of Berkshire Hathaway, which is an American multinational conglomerate holding company. He has a net worth of $120.3 billion. The businessman is known as one of the most successful inverors of all time. It was recorded that, as of this year, Buffet has donated $51.5 billion to The Gates Foundation.
